The Small Plant

Amira has a small plant on her desk. Her desk is in a dark corner. She likes the plant, but its leaves look yellow.

Her father comes to visit on Sunday. He looks at the plant.

"This plant needs more light," he says.

Amira takes it to a table near the window. She gives it a little water. Every morning, she looks at it before she goes to work.

After three weeks, she sees a small green leaf.

She sends her father a photo. "Look! A new leaf!"

He sends a message back. "It likes its new home."

Amira smiles. Her window has a nice view now, inside and outside.
