What is spaced repetition?

Spaced repetition means revisiting words over time instead of studying them all at once. Your ratings help LearnMovies decide when to show each word again.

How to practise on LearnMovies

  1. Open Study words for words due today. Try to recall the meaning before showing the translation.
  2. Check the meaning, listen to the pronunciation, and read the saved example sentence if available.
  3. Choose the rating that matches how well you remembered. Each button shows when that word will be due next.
Again
Forgot it or got it wrong? The word is due today. Reopen Study words to practise it again.
Hard
Struggled or confused it with another word? Review it tomorrow.
Medium
Remembered with some effort? Build up the interval with successful reviews.
Easy
Remembered easily? Later reviews can be spaced further apart.

Medium and Easy both start with 1 day, then 6 days after another successful review. Later intervals depend on your previous ratings. Use the time shown on the button for this word.

Come back regularly and rate honestly. Due words wait in Study words until you review them.
